We pride ourselves on being part of the local community and have been since it started with my father, Joe, and his two brothers, Stan and Bob, back in 1962, providing reliable plumbing services, emergency plumber repairs, boiler installations, drain unblocking, bathrooms en-suites installations, kitchen installations, and property renovations for residents and independent retailers in Kensington, Chelsea, Hammersmith & Fulham.

Back in 1962, these three young men left the industrial backdrop of post-war Bradford and headed south to London to create better lives, bringing with them skill, determination, and a willingness to learn on the job as local plumbers serving the communities of Kensington, Chelsea, Hammersmith & Fulham. Joe, my father, was a bricklayer; Stan, the middle brother, specialised in plastering; and Bob, the youngest, had just finished his engineering studies at Bradford University. Together, they were a dynamic team, willing to take on any work that came their way, including emergency plumber repairs, boiler installations, drain unblocking, and property renovations in West London.

Their first significant project as local plumbers in West London? As London opened up to more opportunities for local plumbers, a chance meeting at the Black Bull pub on the Kings Road in Chelsea in the late 1960s led to their first home purchase and renovation on Hugon Road, SW6—a project that solidified both their personal and professional ties, expanding their services to include property renovations, bathrooms en-suites installations, kitchen installations, and commercial plumbing for businesses in West London areas like Kensington, Chelsea, Hammersmith & Fulham.

In the years that followed, the family grew, with my brother James born in 1980 and myself in 1982. The business also evolved, with Joe and Bob founding Armour Trading Building Co., where they not only renovated houses but also collaborated with other property developers across London, providing expert plumbing services, emergency repairs, boiler installations, drain unblocking, and more to residents and independent retailers in Kensington, Chelsea, Hammersmith & Fulham.

I grew up surrounded by this work, learning the ins and outs of the plumbing industry alongside my father, just as he had learned with his brothers, focusing on becoming Gas Safe registered plumbers offering reliable services in West London. After Joe’s passing in 2015, I took the reins, branching out on my own while honouring the family legacy of local plumbers in Kensington, Chelsea, Hammersmith & Fulham.
